Who needs toys...

...when you have a laundry basket?
...and magazines?
...and a broom?

...and momma's leg?

...and the ottoman?

Give Noah pretty much anything and he is happy as can be.  Gosh, I love this kid!!

Day at Cappy's

This past weekend my step brother, Ronnie, and his wife Chelyn came to town.  Cappy and the Grand Monster invited the whole family over for a little BBQ and swimming, so we jumped at the opportunity!  Ronnie and Chelyn, along with a lot of the aunts and uncles, have not seen Noah since he was 6 weeks old, so it was fun to get to re-introduce him to that side of the family again.   Noah, as usual, got spoiled rotten with attention!  Noah looooooves his Cappy, and his Cappy looooooooves him.

Veggin' out with Auntie Jenn (look at that TUB!)

Playin' with the Grand Monster!

I'm Goin' Shwimmin!

I'm playing blog catch up, so bare with me.... :-)

Over Memorial Day weekend, we headed out to the lake with the Pierces, the Armstrongs, and Lolly and Popsie.  Our car was so jam packed with crap necesseties you would have thought we were staying for a month.  Nope, only three days.  Needless to say, no one starved and the boys had plenty of entertainment.

The highlight of the weekend was getting to take Noah swimming for the first time.  When women dream about having babies, they typically dream about doing something with them.  Going on walks... going to soccer games... watching them in their school plays.   Me?  I always dreamed about taking my children swimming.  So, as you can imagine, introducing N to my love for the water was pretty exciting! :-) Our first try at the "pool" was a little blow up pool Lolly got for the backyard... a perfect introduction to "swimming"!  Luckily, he enjoyed it as much as a 6 1/2 month old can.  He splashed, he squirmed, and he squeeled.

The next day we decided to step it up a notch (OK, maybe about a thousand notches) and ventured down to the lake.  Although the boys were NOT fans of the lifejackets, they had plenty of fun once they were in their floats and in the water.  Again, lots of splashing!  I was a tad nervous knowing that I could only see about three feet below the surface and this was N's first true swimming experience... but he didn't seem to have a care in the world.
We also went to the community pool several times. I enjoyed the pool much better because my stomach wasn't in knots the entire time, and Noah again seemed to enjoy it. Noah is SUCH a curious little guy, and in the water it was no different. He really enjoyed watching the waterfall and letting his hands feel the pressure of the water falling down.

We did a little lounging around in between all the swimming.... All in all, it was a great weekend!
